What Battery Powered Part Is This?

I've been given a huge pile of Lego pieces by my partner's family. The instructions for the sets have not survived.

I'm struggling to identify this part.





It takes two AAA batteries and has a small LED on the pointy end. I'm utterly baffled as to what to search for on Rebrickable. Any clues?

It's part 30346 "Rock Raiders Laser", a drill type thing from the rock raiders headquarters and the rock raiders chrome crusher.
